SightMap, Engrain’s popular building mapping and visualization software, boasts new features including ILS web service and a free version for property managers
DENVER, CO (June 13, 2018) — Engrain, a recognized leader in next-generation interactive technology and data visualization software solutions for real estate, today unveiled major upgrades to its SightMap interactive mapping platform, including the opportunity to integrate the property maps with leading internet listing service (ILS) sites and call center providers.
With SightMap, property managers and owners are able to display interactive maps of their buildings. This allows users to seamlessly explore a wide variety of building characteristics, including unit locations, amenities, pricing, availability and real time leasing options.
Already a proven effective digital tool for refining the apartment search experience and increasing leads from prospective renters, SightMap will now offer greater features and flexibility for these maps to be seen and used across additional channels. Most notably, this technology has now been made available on ILS sites where a preponderance of renters start their apartment search.
“The ability to provide interactive property maps is a simple, but extraordinarily effective digital tool for lead and lease velocity. By offering these upgrades, along with a free version of SightMap, we’re bringing this ability to more properties with more features and flexibility than ever before,” said Brent Steiner, Founder and CEO at Engrain. “Easy-to-use software solutions like SightMap have become the preferred method for renters to evaluate and ultimately lease apartments.”
When given the choice during searches, data shows prospective renters prefer to engage with visual map view compared to lists or floorplan view of prospective apartments. Prospective renters are also more likely to click for an application form from a map-based search.
Engrain’s new free version of SightMap will offer properties the creation of an interactive map and the use of the SightMap application on property websites. Interactive community maps will also be available to key team members such as leasing teams, on-site maintenance, vendors and delivery providers through iOS and Android apps. The free version of SightMap can also be used to showcase property layout, facility and amenity locations, and to provide wayfinding capability for prospective renters.
Engrain officially introduced SightMap to the market in 2016, and it has since become one of the company’s most compelling and popular products, having been adopted by most of the largest management companies in the country. The standard version of SightMap features dynamic integrations with RealPage, Yardi, Entrata and MRI for real-time pricing and availability presentation, and now, outbound integration opportunities with ILS sites.

A recognized leader in next-generation interactive technology and map-based data visualization software, Engrain’s advanced integrations and technical flexibility offer solutions for any multifamily technology stack.
